Jon Gibby has reviewed the form of last year’s lightly raced two-year-olds and has identified 68 that he believes have been allotted potentially lenient official ratings ahead of their three-year- old campaigns.

The 2017 edition has so far produced 81 winners including Taxmeifyoucan (5), Brimham Rocks (4), Breathoffreshair (3), Favourite Royal (3), Dellaguista (3), Oh It’s Saucepot (3), Mojito (3), Pincheck (3) and Yellowhammer (3). Backing the horses in the book every time they have run has returned a level stakes profit of +64 points to SP and over +170 points to early prices, including winners returned at 20/1, 16/1, 16/1, 16/1, 14/1, 14/1 and 14/1.
As of 25 March 2018 there have been twelve runners from this year’s book, six of which have won (50% strike rate) at odds of 5/1, 4/1, 4/1, 10/3, 10/3 and 6/4 for a profit of +15 points to SP and +24 points to best early prices.
